Hard to believe that we are already 5 days into November! It is a gorgeous day! The sky is bright blue with a few little clouds. The temperature is a brisk 51 right now, but the sun is bright and warm.
On the way home from church we saw black smoke indicating a good sized fire in the distance. We specualted as to what might be burning and where the fire was. It turned out to be Concordia nursing home. We were uncertain what that particular building was used for, but it was a large building that was ablaze. We were rerouted around the intersection and drove by on a side road close enough to see the flames raging out of the building. We of course have no details of what caused the fire or whether all got out safely. We expect to see a report on the news as we saw 2 news helicopters high overhead.
